Tom Melton is of counsel with the Firm and has been affiliated with the Firm since 2002.  Although born in Santa Monica, California, he was reared in Fort Worth, Texas and received his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1974.

With over 30 years experience in litigation Tom is one of the Firm's most valuable assets in complex litigation matters and his experience is relied upon by all members of the Firm. 

Tom's practice is devoted to complex business litigation and mediation. 

Representative Matters:

  • Representation of Partner in Security business against other partners that were diverting business.  Obtained Temporary Restraining Order and Temporary Injunction.  Matter settled.

  • Representation of wealthy guarantor in SBA loan against bank.  Bank sued borrower, a golf pro shop, for the unpaid debt.  Tom brought counterclaims against the Bank for fraud and deceptive lending tactics. Case settled for significant discount of amount claimed.
